MD Restoration was established in Hawaii in 2002 as MD Cleaners LLC, a residential house cleaning company. In a few short years we developed a devoted following of realtors, property managers, and homeowners who utilized our cleaning services on a regular basis. As the real estate market flourished in the early millennium, MD Cleaners’ clientele began to request professional carpet cleaning services be added to our menu. This seemed to be a natural progression for our company, and after a proper amount of research and IICRC technical training, MD Cleaners started providing its patrons with hot-water extraction carpet cleaning services.

Emergency Water Extraction

With an evolving client base came added responsibility. Our powerful, truck-mounted carpet cleaning machines are designed for more than just cleaning, they are excellent at extracting standing water. When our clients experienced a water loss event such as a broken toilet supply line, heavy rains, or a sewage backup, they called us to extract water from their carpet and padding. Soon, however, we realized that wet building structures experienced much more damage in a water loss event than just wet floor coverings. Building materials such as drywall, structural wood framing, plywood subfloors, and wooden cabinets also absorbed water and were even more susceptible to damage than carpeting. Again, after significant research, MD Cleaners decided to dedicate its resources to 24-hour emergency water extraction and structural drying services, and MD Cleaning and Restoration was born.

It has taken years of training, dozens of certification classes and continuing education, and thousands of hours in the field to build MD Restoration from the ground up. With our history rooted in the cleaning industry, we have built our company upon a solid foundation of communication and attention to detail. It is this basic understanding of our clients’ needs that gives us the advantage over our competition. MD Restoration is also a licensed General Contractor, and is one of the few water damage mitigation companies in the state of Hawaii that can provide repair and remodeling services in addition to emergency water extraction and structural drying techniques.
